Services
In addition to our weekly Friday evening and Saturday morning services, we offer these special Shabbat experiences several times throughout the year.
Please refer to Kol Emet’s calendar for dates and times.
HEYMISH SHABBAT
Join us for a spiritual, delicious Shabbat dinner experience with community! There is no service this evening. Bring your favorite dairy/vegetarian item to share for our potluck*. Starting at 6:00 p.m., Rabbi Anna leads blessings and songs before the dinner, and over dessert and coffee we invite a speaker or engage in an activity that enhances our Shabbat together.
* Due to Covid we will be outside, weather permitting, and participants are asked to bring a picnic dinner instead.
THURSDAY MORNING MINYAN
This weekly service is another opportunity to worship together in a more traditional service. We begin praying at 7:30 a.m. and conclude our service at 8:30 a.m. The service is followed by a lovely breakfast. Our warm and inviting morning Minyanaires look forward to welcoming you to our group whether it be one time or on a regular basis. This service is also open to the community at large.
Due to Covid, we will be outside, weather permitting.
SATURDAY MORNING TORAH STUDY
Torah Study is a mitzvah and primary Jewish spiritual practice. Join us EVERY Shabbat Morning at 9:30 a.m. for an engaging, open, intellectually honest, and exploratory Torah study. We will engage with the weekly portion, drink coffee/tea, nosh, discuss, challenge, learn, grow and build community.
Everyone is welcome. You do not need to know Hebrew or have had any prior experience.
Due to Covid, Torah Study is on Zoom only at this time.
CONTEMPLATIVE SHABBAT
Bring in Shabbat with song and silence, poetry and prayer.
PLAYGROUND SHABBAT
Pre-schoolers can enjoy the Kol Emet playground, pizza dinner, and special activities.
