ELIZABETH RAVITCH IS OUR NEW PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR
I’m delighted to officially let you know that the search committee has concluded their work and we have hired Elizabeth Ravitch as our new Preschool Director. We are so thrilled that Liz will continue to play an instrumental role in our preschool. She is already beloved by our staff, parents, and children.
Liz has been with the Kol Emet community for a number of years. One year ago, she humbly agreed to take on more responsibility as the Assistant Director. We were very happy Liz said yes as running a preschool during Covid times required all hands- on- deck. Liz is able to wear many hats. She has worked in a pediatrician’s office and has an advanced degree in clinical psychology. She is a gem; and we are delighted she will be running the preschool at Kol Emet.
Of course, she will need some assistance. Sue Weiner (our newly hired Religious School Director) will work with Liz in the office as the Preschool Administrator. There will be lots of love and hugs to go around.
Please join me in congratulating Liz on getting hired for this well-deserved position. There is no doubt that the preschool is in very capable and loving hands.

SUE WEINER IS OUR NEW RELIGIOUS SCHOOL DIRECTOR
I’m delighted to let you know that the search committee has concluded their work and we have hired Sue Weiner to be the next Religious School Director at Kol Emet. Sue will also assist Elizabeth Ravitch (our new Preschool Director) as the Preschool Administrator.
Sue is a caring, creative, energetic, and highly motivated Program Director with over 30 years of experience. Most recently, she has been the Religious School Director at Temple Micah in New Jersey. Sue has worked closely with children of all ages. She’s the perfect fit for both preschool and religious school. Sue shares a love of Judaism and community that is very Kol Emet. We are thrilled Sue will join our Kol Emet community on July first. To enable a smooth transition, she will work with Carrie over the summer.
Sue is looking forward to meeting all of you. If you didn’t get a chance to meet her at the recent party, feel free to meet her anytime this summer. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions.
