 Join us in the sukkah to eat together and watch a short, powerful documentary, “Bad Tidings,” about the small, New Jersey shore town of Sea Bright, that was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. The townspeople, faced with the challenge of rebuilding their homes and lives, must decide whether to stay or go. The threat of climate change has turned this into a complex moral and economic decision. The stories bring the viewer face-to-face with the question – What would you do if your home could be washed away in an instant?

She will discuss the local issues surrounding pipelines and fracking, introduce us to local organizations fighting against new fossil fuel infrastructure, and tell us how we can best get involved, take action to make a difference, and continue taking small, positive steps together.
